Key Features of the Thresholds Tab

Thresholds Overview

  • Enables users to set custom alert thresholds for various sensor readings.

  • Helps users receive notifications when sensor data exceeds predefined limits.

  • Allows proactive management of soil conditions and environmental factors.

  • Provides a Create New Threshold button on the top right for adding new threshold settings.

Customizable Threshold Parameters

  • Users can set thresholds for:

    • Soil Moisture – Monitor water content to prevent over- or under-watering.

    • Soil Temperature – Track temperature changes for optimal turf and plant growth.

    • Soil Salinity – Avoid damage due to excessive salt levels.

    • Ambient Temperature & Humidity – Ensure optimal environmental conditions.

    • Precipitation & Evapotranspiration (ET) – Assess water availability and loss.

    • Wind Speed & Gusts – Monitor wind conditions affecting turf and crops.

Creating a New Threshold

  1. Navigate to the Thresholds Tab on the left panel.

  2. Click the Create New Threshold button on the top right.

  3. Select the sensor type and specific measurement to monitor.

  4. Set the upper and lower limits for the selected parameter.

  5. Name the threshold and add optional notes for tracking purposes.

  6. Save the settings, and the system will monitor and alert based on these values.

Managing and Editing Thresholds

  • Users can view a list of existing thresholds within the tab.

  • Thresholds can be edited or deleted based on changing requirements.

  • Alerts are generated when sensor readings exceed or fall below the set limits.

  • Users can receive notifications via the platform for quick responses.

How to Access and Use the Thresholds Tab

  1. Log in to app.spiio.com.

  2. Navigate to the left tab and select Thresholds.

  3. Click Create New Threshold on the top right to add a new threshold.

  4. Choose the sensor type and parameter to monitor.

  5. Define the threshold limits and save the settings.

  6. Monitor threshold alerts and take action as needed.

  7. Edit or remove thresholds as conditions evolve.
